About Spencer & Pen
Follow on social media @spencerandpen for all the updates.
I started this business because I know how hard it can be to shape your ideas into something clear, compelling, and irresistible. Whether you’re wrestling with the first draft of a novel or polishing it, I’m here to help you bring out your best.
I come to editing with a background in journalism, creative writing, and storytelling. I know how to get t0 the heart of the story quickly and clearly, but with my deep love for language and appreciation for artistry in grammar, I also know when it’s appropriate to milk important moments.
What I Offer
My services range from developmental editing to line editing, copy editing, and proofreading. My specialized genres include fantasy, YA fantasy/adventure, and non-fiction genres including travel and anything/everything equestrian.
What It’s Like to Work With Me
Ultimately, I strive to understand the intention behind your words so I can help you shape them to tell the story you want to tell. I ask questions, dig deeper., and nudge when it’s needed. Editing is more than red marks on a page — it’s a discussion to help your work land with impact, confidence, and clarity.
